We have two boys - 14 & 11 - our eldest loves fishing and we often drop him to the river, and our youngest loves to mountain bike so the odd peak run (so car required). Some help with general chores, prepare dinner and get the boys to bed is really all that needs to be done as they are so independent really at this age - just too young to leave overnight. We have a great location in Havelock lots..
