Kia ora, our whānau is made up of myself, Chelsea (Mum), Parker (Papa), Flynn (our spoodle pup), Aurora (our cat) and of course our sweet 2 year old, Luca. My spouse and I have just separated so I am looking for some extra support during the week as I begin part-time flexible working at the end of November. Luca has just started kindy down the road and is loving it. We are a queer family and raise Luca gender creatively, we need someone who can honour and respect our family’s values. Luca is the sweetest, chatty and outgoing, yet sensitive, being. We would love to find someone who is the right fit for our Luca and who shared our values of kindness, respect and autonomy. We allow Luca to explore the world and we try our best to not hinder or insert ourselves unnecessarily into their play and them gaining understanding about the world around them. We use some Montessori principles around the home, mainly around Luca’s independence when getting their needs met (water, toilet, snacks etc).
