Hello! We are looking for after school help for our 2 children, 8 and 10. We are open to applications from people who have availability on particular days and who might like more hours. You don't need to be available Monday through Friday! Hours are approximately We have 2 positions: Position 1) We need someone to pick our son up from his bus in Kelburn (Upland Road) at 340 and either bring him to our home in Karaka Bays, or take him to after school activities, (big air in Owhiro bay). He is easy going, and likes to have playdates with his friends, some of whom live in Houghton Bay/Lyall Bay. We are usually home around 5:30 or 6. We are happy to have someone who can only work a few days a week, or also someone who wants more hours. Position 2) We need help with aftercare for our daughter, 10. She will be a Year 7 at Scots College in Strathmore. We need someone to pick her up from school around 3:20, and either hang with her at our house in Karaka Bays, or take her to her after school activities - ballet in Worser Bay. Numberworks in Kilbirnie, or tumbling in Owhiro Bay. She is enthusiastic, friendly, and fun. She also likes to have playdates. Some days may involve both kids, but because their schools are so far away, we think it is better to have 2 people rather than have the kids spend a ton of time driving around Wellington. We can be flexible for both positions about days and availability. We do have a sweet but timid hunt away who barks when she meets new people, so if you are afraid of dogs, this is probably not the best position for you. We are also fairly conservative about Covid. The kids will wear masks at school and at indoor group activities. We still mask up at work, and don't do a lot of indoor things. We would like you to be vaccinated and boosted, be willing to have a flu shot (at our expense) and be open about your Covid exposure. We will do the same. We want to do our best to keep everyone as healthy as possible during the school year.
