Have you ever had a day with your little ones when they just don’t feel like eating any vegetable you try to serve them? We know we have! If you are looking for a healthy and cute snack that will not only be delicious but also packed with vitamins, then you’re in the right place!

Healthy food and kids often don’t go hand in hand. We are trying very hard to create recipes that will provide your kids with the vitamins they need. Today we decided to share with you an easy and delicious snack that will not only look good, but your kids also won’t hesitate to eat it!

Interested to try this simple recipe yourself? Read on!

You'll need:

  • Whole wheat tortillas
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Corn salad
  • Cheese
  • Butter (for pan)

Step by step

We couldn’t find any small tortillas in the store so we bought whole wheat standard sized tortillas and cut them in smaller circles (two circles per one standard sized tortilla).

Once you have your small tortillas ready, you will want to fill them with cheese. We chose shredded cheese that we found in the store but you can slice your cheese into thin pieces and put them on the tortillas.

To prepare your frying pan, add a little bit of butter and wait for it to melt. Place the tortilla in the pan and fry it first on one side then flip it and do the same to the other side. You want to achieve a golden crust!

Now that the quesadillas are fried, the fun part can begin:

We created two quesadilla faces. To create your own, start by laying some salad on the top of your plate (this will be the hair). Then place your quesadillas gently on the salad. Now all you have to do is create eyes, a nose and a smile. We made the faces out of cherry tomatoes, salad and a bit of ketchup but you can choose any other ingredients you may have in your refrigerator.

And that’s it. Your funky looking quesadillas are ready to be served to your kids! If you followed our steps they should look something like this:
